Satori Pathway: Consulting Services
Satori is the Japanese term for enlightenment. Satori Pathway has two levels of service: to help families navigate systems of care, and consulting services to help owners and operators of care facilities through the challenges and opportunities in establishing a successful special care memory program.

Satori provides support services to organizations working with persons who have dementia. Our goal is to help your organization provide state-of-the-art, person-centered care allowing the person with the disease to stay in their home of choice as long as possible.

Satori works as your partner in establishing a quality dementia care program. Satori starts by understanding your organizational goals, strengths and market place. Satori provides an array of valuable services:

• preparing informative market studies

• defining the type of program appropriate for your organization

• providing comprehensive dementia care training of your nursing staff

Satori will help design a program to meet your organization’s financial objectives. Our level of involvement can be as great or as little as needed. Satori has established well over 100 memory care programs in skilled nursing or assisted living facilities, free standing residential dementia care facilities, adult day service centers and home care agencies. We can help your organization create a meaningfully engaged lifestyle for the person with dementia. The result is peace of mind for families while at the same time improving the bottom line of your organization.

Each of the Satori Pathway principals has at least 25 years of dementia specific experience. They are highly respected and passionate about their dementia care work. They are all certified dementia care trainers.

Jamie Glavich received a Florida governor's appointment to serve on the Florida Alzheimer’s Disease Initiative committee (ADI) and is the former chair of the ADI. She was the first certified dementia care trainer in Florida and currently is a trainer for the Alzheimer’s Association. She was instrumental in setting up dementia care regulations in Florida.

Stuart Gaines, CPA/MBA, is current board chair of the Alzheimer’s Association of Central and North Florida and the former board chair of the Alzheimer’s Association of Illinois. The Illinois governor appointed Stuart to chair the commission that wrote the Illinois dementia care standards.

Bernie Marinelli, RN/BSN, received her mental health training through a fellowship with Harvard University and received advanced dementia and mental health training at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital, the highly respected and largest gero-psychiatric program in the Chicago area.
